Experiments with inflatable and modifiable objects made entirely new spatial concepts possible.

Nothing stays the same

Young architects, designers and artists experimented with inflatable, mobile, and lightweight objects. The new materials made diverse and entirely novel spatial concepts possible. Nonconformist ideas focused on things like temporary architectures, moveable structures, and dynamic elements. Everything became flexible and adaptable. Things were inflated, foamed, injection-molded. Futuristic elements invited users to sit, lie, play on them, and hang out. Audiences were invited to interact to their hearts desire.
